The Rev. Dr. Franklin L. Henley Scholarship Fund Committee

| Primary Contact: Deacon Herman Lawson, Jr., MD |

This Fund helps youth and adults further their education in academic, vocational or technical programs.  It is named in recognition of Rev. Dr. Franklin L. Henley who pastored St. Paul for more than 30 years.  We also issue an award in memory of Gerald Welch, our member who emphasized the importance of pursuing education and greater goals regardless of obstacles.

The Fund is supported through weekly church offerings, occasional bake sales and an annual awards banquet.  The Committee is made up of St. Paul members and an experienced education consultant and it generally meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday.

The scholarship applicants are encouraged to study as instructed in II Timothy 2:15.
