Deacons Ministry

In harmony with the Pastor, the Deacons Ministry is the lead spiritual and administrative arm of St. Paul.  Through this ministry, the body of the church is given care and comfort and the church properties are maintained in a right manner.  The Deacons oversee the general life and direction of the church.  They see themselves as “Serving Servants” of God and an active helping ministry inside and outside the walls of the church.  The deacons administer the Benevolent Fund that aids members of the church and the greater community.  They are responsible for receiving new members to the church, preparation of candidates for Baptism and directing the observance of the Lord’s Supper.  Each member of the church family is assigned to a deacon who can assist them with spiritual growth and development or life’s challenges.  In their private and public life, they govern themselves in accordance with the scripture of 1 Timothy 3.
